PDF Rotate
Rotate pages by 90° increments, individually or all at once.
PDF Rotate fixes orientation without asking you to open desktop software. Load a document, spin individual pages or every page by 90° steps, and download a new PDF with the rotations applied. The preview grid shows each page’s current angle so you can straighten a mixed scan — some pages landscape, some portrait — before you export.
Rotation is cumulative in 90° increments (0 → 90 → 180 → 270 → 0). Nothing touches your original file; processing uses pdf-lib in the browser and produces a separate Rotated_PDF download.
How it works
Each thumbnail carries an overlay with the live angle and a rotate control. Clicking adds +90° to that page only. Rotate All applies the same step to every page at once; Reset clears all pending rotations if you overshoot.
On download, the tool loads the source with pdf-lib, sets each page’s rotation (in addition to any inherent page.rotate already in the file), saves the document, and hands you a blob URL. Encrypted or corrupt files fail with a toast so you never get a half-written result.
How to use
- Open Rotate PDF and add your file via the drop zone (PDF only).
- Wait for thumbnails to render; the header shows the filename and page count.
- Use Rotate All to spin the whole document, or click a page’s rotate control for that page only (aria labels like Rotate page 1 by 90°).
- Watch each card’s angle badge (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) until the layout looks right.
- Click Reset if you need to clear all rotations and start over.
- Click Rotate & Download (disabled until at least one page has a non-zero rotation).
- Wait for Rotating… and the Rotation Complete! panel.
- Download Rotated PDF (default name Rotated_PDF) or use Change File for another document.
Tips
- Rotate at least one page — the action is blocked when nothing has changed so you cannot export a no-op.
- Rotations compose on top of the page’s existing rotation in the file, not instead of it.
- Pair with PDF Cropper if rotated margins now look uneven across the document.
- Huge or damaged PDFs can fail to load; try a smaller range with PDF Split first.
PDF Rotate FAQ
Does rotate upload my file?
No. Everything runs locally with pdf-lib; the file never leaves your device.
Can I rotate by angles other than 90°?
No — only 90° increments. For free-angle changes, export pages as images, rotate, and rebuild with Image to PDF.
Why is Rotate & Download disabled?
Every page is still at 0° (or you have not selected a file). Rotate at least one page to enable it.
What if the PDF is password protected?
Load fails with an error toast. Unlock the file first, then rotate.
Will my original file change?
No. You download a new file; the source on disk is only read.
